Stiff, Sore Muscles? Contrast Hot & Ice Water Baths for Pain Relief, Self Therapy Tips In this video, Kaia shows us how to relieve pain, stiffness and sore muscles using hot & ice water baths. Using contrast boosts circulation and helps to flush toxins out of the blood and lymph. Contrast is wonderful for a sprained ankle (just be sure to wait 48 hours), tired, overworked hands, feet or arms. CAUTION- Do not use contrast baths within 48 hours of injury. Use ice packs or cool water to get swelling down during the first 48 hours.
