<p>                According to Ayurveda, the ancient Indian science of health and healing, the Kapha Dosha (humour) is primarily responsible for fat and adipose tissue in the body and therefore reducing Kapaha is the key to a successful weight loss program. Below you will find some effective tips from ayurveda to help reduce Kapha Dosha and thus battle obesity and being overweight.
<p>Of the four dimensions of our being, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual, in this article I will cover the Physical Dimension which is most important for the reduction of Kapha and the correlating reduction in weight. </p>
<p>Weight Loss Tips from Ayurveda: </p>
<p>1. Ayurvedic Diet for Weight Loss: </p>
<p>Obviously an anti-kapha diet is the place to start when looking to lose weight. This means eating lots of fruits, vegetables, spicy foods and whole grains. </p>
<p>2. Exercise for Weight Loss: </p>
<p>The following Ayurvedic guidelines should be followed for proper exercise with regard to weight loss: </p>
<p>* More Exercise the Better: Kapha\&#8217;s qualities of fixed, dull, heavy, soft and cold are all negated via exercise. In other words, the more exercise you do the more you reduce Kapha and therefore fat in your body. </p>
<p>* Exercise Without Excessive Strain: According to Ayurveda, Kapha individuals need the most vigorous exercise, but at the same time, the exercise should never be extreme. Find a good balance between doing too little and over doing it. Breaking a nice sweat is good, but being totally breathless is probably too much. </p>
<p>* Be Consistent: A Kapha body type has a propensity towards weight gain so you need to make exercise a daily part of you life. The hardest part will be to get the exercise program underway. Once this is done Kapha people tend to be very determined and steady, so they will be able to adhere to it long term. Getting started though is another matter for Kapha types and usually requires shock treatment. In the spirit of shock treatment, understand that by NOT exercising and NOT losing the weight you are putting your longevity and quality of life at risk. Enough said, start today! </p>
<p>* Yoga for Weight Loss: Yoga offers an excellent way to include holistic exercises into your fitness program. These exercises will not just help you lose weight, but will also help your overall health and well-being. </p>
<p>* Post Exercise Diet: After exercises do not drink cold liquids. This period is key as you are trying to increase the metabolic fire in your cells so they burn more calories and drinking cold liquids at this time will negate this important benefit which exercise bestows. </p>
<p>3. Hard Physical Work to Burn Calories: </p>
<p>According to Ayurveda reduction of Kapha is promoted by living a physical, active lifestyle. In today\&#8217;s age of technology, computers, TVs, TiVO, internet, etc, manual labor is getting more rare for people to do. So you need to consciously incorporate physical work into your life. Whether that be mowing the lawn, tending to the garden or shoveling snow, it is important to not live a sedentary live of watching TV and eating twinkies. </p>
<p>4. Massage Therapy to Reduce Fat: </p>
<p>There are many treatment modalities in Ayurveda of which massage is highly recommended. In the context of weight loss and reducing Kapha, strong massage with light oils such as mustard or flaxseed is helpful. </p>
<p>5. Sleep Guidelines for Weight Loss: </p>
<p>No napping or going to bed early. If you want to reduce Kapha and weight remember you burn more calories when you are awake and being active, than when you are happily snuggled under the blanket. </p>
<p>The above recommendations will surely help you with your weight loss goals and in addition to helping you get slim, they will also make you more healthy and fit.</p>

<p>People go bleating frantically after fad diet and quick diet tips, as if it were the holy grail, followed religiously, yet giving little results. They later whinge and complain that it didn&#8217;t work, instead of opting to give up their Kentucky Fried Chicken or McChicken Nuggets. Before I go about giving you a few quick diet tips, something essential for your body that it would more than approve of is, for you to go on a fast or a detox diet in order to get rid of all the toxins and any junk food and processed food cravings that you are probably subtly aware of or not at all. Processed foods and junk foods have trans fats that your body doesn&#8217;t quite know what to do with, and they end up being stored in huge amounts (See Trans Fat Facts).</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re wanting an overnight result, it isn&#8217;t going to happen, and I suppose you know it too. But if you&#8217;re ready to understand what may be making you pile on the pounds, read further to know a few quick diet tips that would help you get slim and stay that way. A detox diet for weight loss is great, to begin with. It would give you more clarity of mind and your body begins healing itself and this is the first to do before thinking of the best quick diets because there are plenty of fad &#8216;quick diets that work&#8217;, seemingly.</p>
<p>When we eat foods that are rich in their fiber content, our bodies tend to absorb less calories. So if you eat refined or processed foods, your body will absorb more calories than if you eat the same amount of high-fiber foods or whole-grain foods. Drink lots of water when you eat high-fiber foods, so that your digestive system won&#8217;t have much of a tedious time. Fiber takes care of your blood sugar levels from going on a see-saw, as it regulates the carbohydrates your body absorbs, and takes care of your cholesterol levels too. A high fiber diet can most definitively be included as one of the quick diet tips. Fibrous foods are one of the healthy foods to lose weight. These work well for women with cellulite, being part of an anti-cellulite diet.</p>
<p>When you&#8217;re trying to eat less, and go for some time without dropping a bite of this or that in your stomach, you&#8217;re stomach is bound to start growling like a pack of wolves on a silent moonlit night. Then, it&#8217;s time to reach for a whole glass of water give it around 10 minutes and you&#8217;ll feel your sharp pangs of hunger turned into a toothless bite before they vanish, and then an apple or any other fresh, raw fruit. One of the best quick diet tips is to have a juice or a small bowl of salad with lots of juicy green vegetables with a dash of olive oil if you&#8217;re feeling too hungry between meals.</p>
<p>Another fantastic method, one of the quick diet tips, is to avoid eating sugar and all other sugar alternatives, and other processed or refined foods. Sugars in fruits are fructose, and they&#8217;re good for your body. But then again don&#8217;t go and buy canned fruits or fruit juices that come in cartons. The dangerous additives, hydrogenated oils/trans fats and every other unnatural ingredient in refined or processed foods are major stressors on your body. Apart from that, these can actually get in the way of your body absorbing other beneficial nutrients. So if you&#8217;re still hooked onto buying and eating these, you&#8217;re just inviting double-trouble. They are capable of clogging up your body in such a way that it has no way of eliminating toxic waste. You don&#8217;t want a body that&#8217;s overweight with fat as well as toxins, isn&#8217;t it! That is just odious!</p>
<p>I have mentioned a few things regarding artificial sweeteners and spoken about ways that would assist in quick diets to lose belly fat in another article &#8211; Visceral Fat Reduction. When you give up these and opt for fresh food, it certainly can make for quick diets to lose weight. There are plenty of processed foods to avoid listed in the linked Buzzle article.</p>
<p>It is best for a while for your fingers not to have the company of a cigarette or a glass of alcoholic drink. Give it a break. If you smoke, make sure you get in a lot of fresh fruits high in vitamin C like lemon, watermelons, pineapples, melons, mangoes, oranges. Also eat vegetables that are high in their vitamin C content. Smoking can make your lungs sick with a scary number of 80 chemicals that cause cancer. Start your day with a cup of green tea. As one of the polyphenols benefits it has is, arresting the growth of lung-cancer cells.</p>
<p>Alcohol on the other hand, depletes vitamin B from your blood- especially vitamin B3 (Niacin). Make sure you eat moderate amounts of it that come from niacin-rich foods &#8211; green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, broccoli, carrots, celery, asparagus, wheat bran, almonds, peanuts, cereals, lentils, mushrooms and dates. Avoid those that come from meats, as you don&#8217;t need more fat for the already taxed liver to break it down.</p>
<p>Is eating raw eggs good or bad? For those who don&#8217;t eat meat or have decided to avoid red meat for a while, it&#8217;s best to eat organic eggs. And, eating raw eggs isn&#8217;t bad at all, unless they&#8217;re unclean. When we cook eggs, the protein structure in them changes.</p>
<p>Raw eggs have a healthier content of proteins and the essential enzymes remain intact. It also has the nine essential amino acids for your body. These boost your metabolism, giving a hand with losing weight naturally.</p>
<p>You can avoid salmonella infection, by opting for eggs that come from free-running chickens on pastures, instead of those that are cramped together in dirty cages. And eggs don&#8217;t have any such thing as &#8216;bad&#8217; choleserol.</p>
<p>Quick Diet Tips: 6. Turn Over A New Green Leaf</p>

Weight loss is not difficult and one can achieve results in few months, by concentrating on a proper diet and exercise for weight loss. With regular exercising and a balanced diet, you can lose weight and inches. Here are the tips for the right diet and exercise plan for weight loss.</p>
<p> On the exercising side of things, here are a few tips to help you achieve your weight loss goal.</p>
<p>Whenever, starting on a weight loss diet and exercise plan, go slow and steady. Do not get caught in the notion of losing weight within weeks. For healthy weight loss, at least target a period of 3 &#8211; 6 months.<br />
It is important to warm-up, before you start any workout. Before any workout, do a warm-up of mild jogging for 10 minutes. This will get the blood circulating evenly in your body and make your body ready for a heavy physical workout.<br />
Keep a water bottle and a hand towel near you, during a workout. Between every workout session, take a two minute break, sip a little water and use a towel to wipe off the sweat.<br />
The workout consists of three parts, warm-up, cardiovascular exercises and strength training exercises.<br />
After the warm up, do at least half an hour of cardio and then 15 minutes of strength training. If you are a beginner, read exercise routines for beginners.<br />
You can do the workout at home or join a gym and enroll yourself for a weight loss program.<br />
For weight loss, focus on exercises which burn the maximum calories. The best cardio workout is skipping, then comes running and workout on fitness equipment like cross-trainers (elliptical machines).</p>
<p>All of the above exercises are great cardio exercises and are a full body workout. However, for weight loss in a specific body part, weight training is essential.</p>
<p>Weight training exercises, will help you lose weight from a particular body part, like waist or arms. They will also tone up your muscles, and make you look attractive.<br />
After you finish your workout, rest for 10 minutes.<br />
If you are highly overweight, and wish to lose weight faster, you can do the workout twice in a day.</p>

For lunch, you can have your normal meal, with lots of salad. In salads, eat the vegetables raw, without any dressing. If you want a dressing, go for lemon juice.<br />
In evenings, eat healthy snacks, like a bowl of fruits and some fresh juice and eat a normal dinner, with lots of salads.<br />
Drink a lot of fluids and drink at least 2.5 liters of water daily. The water will keep your body clean and hydrated.<br />
Maintain a diary of your daily food intake. Make sure you burn more calories than you eat.<br />
Avoid, eating any junk food and avoid fried stuff and sugary sodas.</p>
